Ship wrecks, rock ledges,
and isolated reefs are the Grouper's preferred spawning habitat.
Many groupers are prodigious hermaphrodites - a condition in
which individuals first mature into females only later to becomes
males. Predators of groupers include large fish such as barracudas.
